Lucifer's Plight

I came down to the earth and helped your beloved humanity
I came down to them so they could love me,

I cry in the dark crevices now so nobody can hear
I carry the weight of their sins that you could never bear,

I mocked you and resolved to shun your light
You just laughed, little did I know that I was your only light,

You said- Lucifer, your wish will be done!
And done I came crashing with a loud thump,

I was a human now for countless ages to come
You forsake me 'cause for you it was just fun,

For a long time I thought you would call me back
But a silent mock was all that I always get,

I decided a thousand years back that I will now remain a human
For your son preached that you would one day come,

But am done waiting and I will go far away from you
Not even the mortal love in my destiny,
is that what they call are the holy blessings from you?

I have learned to live alone for countless millenia
I am me father, one and only friend,

I take pride that when they all love you, It is I, Lucifer,
the only one who will forever hate you,

I killed my soul and spirit from the very weapons that you gave me
But when I try to kill myself,
Are your weapons too holy to even touch me?

You be the creator for that's always your grand plan
And I will destruct it all causing dark mayhem,

I have lost how thy love or even your mortal love feels like
I don't want it again for my mere touch makes your holy rivers run dry,

I laugh at how much faith they have upon you
For I see my image when I see their eyes closed and
head down for the love of you,

I pity them for they will be disappointed
I will be their shelter when, like me, you forsake them,

You have become old and you are dying my god, the weary old man,
Pity that you are leaving your sons alone and crying

I will not rule upon them after you are gone,
That's my revenge against you for I don't ever want to be a god...

I am Lucifer, first of the fallen as you have me called,

And I shall remain that way as you always had that planned!
